Food

We try to cater for most tastes and include a selection of well-respected homemade pies, fish, chicken, steak and vegetarian dishes and in addition to our main menu we offer a regularly changing specials menu. Our pie fillings range from steak, bacon and mushroom to wild boar, pheasant and duck, moroccan lamb and venison and haggis, to name just a few. The majority of dishes are cooked fresh to order and subtle changes to the dishes may be available.

Bar, Lounge & Restaurant

Gosforth Hall is a place where you can simply sip a cup of tea reading a newspaper or meet up with family, friends and colleagues for a relaxed and enjoyable evening. Whether dining in the restaurant for a special occasion, eating while watching sport in the lounge, choosing to relax in the bar or looking for al fresco dinning in the beer garden, one menu covers them all.

Our Location

We offer dog friendly accommodation in the Annex, Lounge and Bar and conveniently located on the Western edge of the Lake District National Park, where you will find some of the most outstanding views offered in the UK. Situated on the gateway to the Wasdale Valley, the perfect base to explore the mighty western fells of Great Gable and Scafell Pike, the remote woodlands in the Wasdale Valley and England’s deepest lake, Wastwater.
